... about having the LDS church set up and automatic payment plan for my tithing?
I have the worst memory. And, then at the end of the year (every year) I have a near panic attack.
Anyway... Claire and I would definitely sign up. I am just sayin'... maybe someone who is privy to communication with church royalty can throw that out there for us.

I had the same problem and figured out how to set it up. Just send me an email at hmeyers20@yahoo.com and I'll send you the information/form on how to set it up for you :)
I just want an online payment option!
P.S. It sounds like your friend Heather wants to deposit 10% of your income into her bank account!
Yes please! I have all my bills on automatic payment except that one! Not that it's a bill..at least i don;t think.
You can do it through your online bill pay through your bank! The first few times I got calls from the bishopric wondering what the check was for, but now they know, it isn't a problem. I still give my fast offerings to the Deacon's, but that might just be a Utah thing!
Oh my gosh... really? I will call you guys and find out what to do! I love that!
Nope . . . sorry, I don't want Ali's Money. But there really is a way to do this. I called Salt Lake??? and someone from LDS Donations emailed me a form that allows them to set up an account in the church system for you. I have the forms and instructions if you want them emailed to you or email donations@ldschurch.org and ask for the forms. This allows you set up direct deposit to the Church in Salt Lake.
It has another benifit also. Since your check doesn't go to someone in the Ward . . . some random clerk (which I'm sure never happens) doesn't go blabbing how much you make to other people.
Once you set it up you will start getting statements and a year end from Salt Lake directly. I haven't made it to the end of the year yet so I don't know how tithing settlement works :)
Sorry, Ali . . . "Constructbabe" is me. I forgot to type in my name.
it works through your online bill pay. the payee account number is your member record number. and the payee name is one of a handful of codes (ie, "LDS-tithing"). you have to send/email/fax the form in first. you get the Payee address/telephone number from the form. super easy!
